Founded in 2005
The Java Institute for Advanced Technology is a leading research-based higher education institute in Sri Lanka. It is an ISO 9001:2015 certified institute and in addition, the Java Institute for Advanced Technology is an Approved Centre of UK Awards. UK Awards is an awarding body established in 2019 by leading experts in vocational training and headed by John Kerr, former CEO of Edexcel, UK. UK Awards through its collaborative partnership with Skills and Education Group Awards, a 110-year-old, UK-based awarding organisation recognised by CCEA, Ofqual and Qualification Wales.
All PCJT certifications are jointly issued by Skills and Education Group Awards and UK Awards. We deliver RQF 4, RQF5 and RQF 6 certifications, which have been credit rated under the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) and the European Qualifications Framework (EQF).
Java Institute offers the BSc (Hons) in Software Engineering Top Up, validated by the Birmingham City University - United Kingdom, as well the BEng (Hons) in Software Engineering full degree from IIC University of Technology - Kingdom of Cambodia, which are recognised by UGC Sri Lanka.
